Research Support and Valorization consists of the Research Support Office (RSO) and startup helpdesk The Gate. RSO supports and unburdens researchers with obtaining external funding for their research and developing project proposals. At The Gate, business developers and IP-experts offer support in translating research results into successful innovations and new companies.
Eindhoven University of technology (TU/e) is one of Europe’s top technological universities, situated at the heart of the innovative high-tech innovation ecosystem Brainport. Thanks to a wealth of collaborations with industry and academic institutes, TU/e’s research has real-world impact. TU/e has around 3,000 employees and 2,300 PhD students (half of which international, representing about 70 nationalities).
TU/e is at the heart of society with its focus on solving complex, societal challenges such as energy, health, materials and smart mobility using the latest technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductors, Quantum computing and Photonics.
The Eindhoven Artificial Intelligent Systems Institute (EAISI) was established in the summer of 2019 as a cross-departmental institute. EAISI aims to develop AI-technology for real-time autonomous decision-making, which has a direct impact on the real world focusing on the application areas of health, mobility and high tech industry. Using our traditional strengths in systems engineering and our close ties with industry, TU/e wants to jumpstart the shift towards a next generation machine-data driven intelligence, which is intimately connected to the open world through: 1) data and algorithms, 2) humans and ethics, and 3) engineering systems. In other words: EAISI wants to make machines intelligent. We are convinced that EAISI will improve the development of meaningful technical solutions to societal challenges, via high-tech systems and robotics. We believe that TU/e can significantly contribute to speed up the AI transition with EAISI.

The Research Support Office (RSO) is the central Research Support Office of TU/e and is consists of a small, close-knit team of professionals who support the scientific staff in applying for European and national grants for research. The RSO team further consists of research funding advisors, grant consultants, corporate lawyers, and project managers.
As Program Manager EAISI you will be embedded in the RSO and from there be allocated to work for EAISI. You will become part of a team of program managers and research support staff for other TU/e institutes such as EIRES, ICMS, and EHCI. This allows knowledge exchange and team building with colleagues with a similar role, albeit for a different institute. At the same time, you will be integral part of the EAISI program board and will have a physical location (office space) mainly in the institute.
The activities include:
Activities for the development of the TU/e Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute:
As working lead, you actively contribute to the daily operations of the program management team while guiding its tactical and operational direction.
