Job Description

As an Education Officer, you are responsible for collecting, managing, and processing educational data in close collaboration with the Education Coordinator. You maintain records related to student participation in courses, student teams, honors programs, and the TU/e Contest. You enjoy working with structured overviews and have experience using MS Access databases and Osiris. Additionally, you use Typo3 to update the education guide and create visual materials such as posters using MS Excel.

You support the Education Coordinator with planning tasks, including the year planning and task planner in MS Teams. Your role also extends beyond TU/e to include education offered by partner institutions within EWUU, the strategic alliance between  Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University & Research, Utrecht University and University Medical Centre Utrecht. This means you actively - in close collaboration with the institutional manager- seek out existing collaborations and identify suitable educational offerings—such as courses, learning pathways, and TLAs—from partner universities and vice versa. You coordinate the publication of these offerings on the EduXchange platform (www.eduxchange.nl), helping to make them more accessible to students across institutions.

You also identify and analyze barriers—organizational, technical, and procedural—that hinder student mobility within EWUU and TU/e, and collect ideas by talking to CSA's, program coordinators, and students. to overcome these challenges.

In this diverse and hands-on role, you combine a structured and detail-oriented approach with flexibility and initiative.

You’ll work on both consolidation and innovation, collaborating closely with colleagues (teachers, coordinators, education directors and CSA officers) from TU/e, TU/e innovation Space, and the EWUU alliance. A role with many possibilities for growth and development.

Job Requirements

You:

  • Have a background in educational logistics and experience with or an interest in flexible education formats.
  • You enjoy working with data and creating clear overviews. To perform your tasks effectively, you take initiative to explore how systems work and enjoy implementing them yourself
  • Experience with the TU/e educational systems (Osiris, Typo3) and MS Excell and Access is a pre
  • Are organizationally astute and capable of balancing and aligning diverse interests, disciplines, and responsibilities.
  • You demonstrate a high level of accuracy in your work, take ownership of your task list, and proactively report on progress.
  • Structure is your middle name, you are able to work alone, as well as in teams
  • Know your way around TU/e’s complex organizational landscape. You understand its structures and practices and proactively engage with relevant stakeholders.
  • Are willing to travel regularly to other EWUU institutions and participate in hybrid and online meetings.
  • Are comfortable with the uncertainties and slower pace that a developing alliance and enjoy helping to develop TU/e (education).
  • Have excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Hold a completed HBO degree and have experience in higher education.

  • A monthly salary of minimum €3,382 to maximum € 4,484 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 8 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
