Within the Beethoven Program, you will contribute to projects that position TU/e as the place for top talent and innovative high-tech solutions. The program consists of 15 projects, and Marketing & communications play a crucial role. As the Communication Expertise Center (CEC), we lead several projects focused on student recruitment and support initiatives related to educational development.

Because data and insights are essential for the success of these projects, we are looking for reinforcement in the form of a Marketing Intelligence Analyst.

In this role, you will contribute to the ambition of the Beethoven program to educate top talent and strengthen research across the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Job Description

Your role

As a Marketing Intelligence Analyst, you are the expert in data analysis and market insights. You collect, analyze, and present information that guides our marketing and communication strategy and activities. You will work closely with project management within the Beethoven program, the Head of Education Marketing, our Power BI team, and colleagues across faculties and services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop reports and dashboards with business information for marketing and communication projects within the Beethoven Program.
  • Analyze enrollment and progression figures for programs and marketing analytics. You provide interpretation and identify opportunities and risks, actively contributing to the PDCA cycle and improving data-driven decision-making.
  • Translate data and market insights into strategic advice for educational development, positioning, and student recruitment, including competitive analyses and trend reports.
  • Advise (project) management based on your analyses, ensuring clear visualizations and presentations of complex information. 

Job Requirements

Your profile

We are looking for an analytical and results-oriented professional who thrives on turning numerical and textual data into strategic insights.

What you bring:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in marketing, data analysis, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or marketing intelligence.
  • Proficiency with analysis tools such as SPSS, Excel, and Power BI, and a strong sense of visualization and storytelling.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and convincingly to various audiences.
  • Affinity with marketing and student recruitment in an academic context.
  • Proactive, accurate, curious, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Conditions of Employment

  • A one-year appointment with the possibility of extension for a total duration of up to 48 months within the Beethoven project.
  • A monthly salary of minimum €3.708,- to €6.433,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 10-11 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
  • In addition to vacation pay, a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
