An ambitious university requires dedicated support to our scientists within the fields of Research Data Management (RDM) and Open Science. This support is provided by the Library and Information Services (LIS), specifically through its product area Research. Within this area, multiple teams closely collaborate with each other and with researchers to support them in research data management, IT solutions, and computational needs.
The position
You will have a dual role – data steward (within Data steward team) and a data manager (within Research Data Literacy and Curation team). Data steward team vision is to help researchers with new challenges in a collaborative way, while being an advocate of open & responsible scientific practices that transcend TU/e. Research Data Literacy and Curation (RDLC) team is developing data solutions for long-term preservation of research data, such as archive and internal repository. As a Data Manager, you will support researchers across TU/e from various scientific departments.
We are looking for a Data Steward/Data Manager with good understanding of research data management, research data lifecycle, research data infrastructure, and privacy and ethics in research. You will serve as first-line support for researchers in addressing these questions.
