Job Description

The Beethoven Admissions Optimization project is a strategic initiative at TU/e aimed at significantly increasing the number of (inter)national master’s students by 2030. To support this ambition, the admissions process must be critically evaluated and potentially redesigned to ensure it is scalable, efficient, and student-friendly.

As Project Manager, you will lead this three-year project, coordinating efforts across the International Office and departmental admissions boards (DABs). You will be responsible for analyzing the current process, identifying bottlenecks, and developing a future-proof admissions model. Your work will directly contribute to improving conversion rates from application to enrollment and ensuring the admissions process aligns with TU/e’s internationalization goals.

You will manage a phased implementation roadmap, oversee stakeholder engagement, and ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are monitored and met. Collaboration, communication, and change management are essential components of this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Beethoven Admissions Optimization project from start to finish.
  • Conduct process analyses, workload assessments, and scenario modeling.
  • Develop and implement a future-state admissions process, including automation opportunities.
  • Design and execute a communication strategy to improve applicant experience and conversion.
  • Coordinate and act as liaison to for multiple interdepartmental stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Monitor KPIs related to capacity, conversion, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Deliver key project outputs including dashboards, reports, and a sustainability plan.
  • Manage risks related to legislation, visa processing, and applicant quality.
  • Report regularly to project sponsors and university leadership.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a colleague who:

  • Has a proven track record in project management, preferably in higher education or a complex service environment.
  • Has strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Is experienced in process optimization and stakeholder engagement.
  • Has excellent communication skills in both English & Dutch (minimum C1 level).
  • Is structured, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively in an international setting.
  • Is comfortable navigating change and managing multiple priorities.

Conditions of employment

An exciting position within an international yet personal university. You are right in the middle of the students, on a green campus within walking distance of the central station. Besides beautiful architecture, you will find varied workplaces and excellent sports facilities. We also offer you:

  • A 3 year contract; we would like to appoint you via EuFlex, the secondment agency of the TU/e relating to Project Beethoven/ Project Financing.
  • A 0.6 FTE position within an international yet personal university. You will work on a green campus within walking distance of Eindhoven Central Station.
  • A monthly salary of minimum €3,546 to maximum €5,538 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 10 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
  • In addition to vacation pay, a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
