Short introduction

Are you eager to advance sustainable construction by developing innovative digital fabrication methods for fibre-wound bio-composites?

Job Description

In this postdoctoral position, you will contribute to the development of digital fabrication methods for fibre-wound bio-composites within the Sustainable Structural Design group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Your work will focus on improving robotic winding equipment and integrating computational design strategies to enable structurally efficient and sustainable building components.

You will bridge material experimentation, fabrication process development, and performance-based design, supporting the group’s ambition to advance sustainable construction practices through bio-based material systems.

In addition to research, you will contribute to education by supporting the development and teaching of the new bachelor’s courses on digital design. You will also supervise master’s graduation projects in digital fabrication and structural design, thereby strengthening research and education in this field.

This role offers you the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment, combining advanced digital fabrication, computational design, and sustainable materials research with real-world impact on the future of construction.
